The Looking Glass New Roads Program assists homeless youth, ages 16-21who are interested in creating long-term solutions that improve the quality of their lives. We help young people on their road to independence. The program's location is ideally situated to provice services for youth exiting street life. |

The New Roads Program provides the following services:
Basic Needs: New Roads' Drop-In Center offers homeless youth food, clothing, showers, access to mail, phones and internet, information/resources/referrals, job search materials, and positive social interaction with supportive engaging staff.
Case Management: Each youth develops a transitional living plan with a case manager.
Street Outreach: Street teams provide advocacy and support to young people on the street, such as service referrals, transportation and crisis intervention.
Housing: Assistance with finding stable housing which is critical for youth to successfully complete their transitional living plan.
Education: The New Roads School is an alternative educational program for middle and high school students, ages 11-21, who are runaways, homeless or at-risk. Students are able to work towards credit recovery or to prepare for their GEDs.
Multicultural Services: New Roads staff work with Centro LatinoAmericano and other multicultural organizations to provide services to youth of all cultural backgrounds.
Medical Services:
Safe & Sound Youth Medical Clinic offers free medical services for youth
ages 11-21, Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly. Call for Clinic times.
Volunteer Program: Individuals within the community volunteer their time to assist homeless youth. A comprehensive training program prepares volunteers as street outreach workers and youth advocates.
Eligibility: Homeless youth, ages 16-21, who need assistance to become self-sufficient and are interested in long-term transitional living needs.
Referrals: Referrals come from the youth themselves, social service agencies, schools, families, and religious organizations. For more information, call (541) 686-4310, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
