Bi-Mart's Celebrity Waiter 2004 a success!


From cockroaches to karaoke, the 4th annual Celebrity Waiter à la Carte fundraiser provided many opportunities for humorous and daring guest and waiter participation. The theme, TV LAND, lent itself to flashes from the past with Laugh In and Addams Family, to the current trend of reality television with Extreme Makeover and Survivor.

The event was held at the Valley River Inn on April 17th with KEZI’s Rick Dancer once again the emcee. Local “personalities” became waiters for the evening and danced, sang and entertained their costumed guests for tips.

Approximately $95,000 was raised during the evening for Looking Glass’s Evaluation and Treatment Center program. The funds will provide residential treatment services for Lane County girls, ages 11 to 17, who have been abused.

Looking Glass thanks our special waiters, their generous guests, and the many volunteers and supporters who made Celebrity Waiter à la Carte a huge success!

Ants, worms and cockroaches, oh my … Fear Factor scared us all …led by Bob Mylenek , General Manger of Kendall Auto Group. The Big Valley rode into town with Lane County Commissioner Bobby Green and his wife Searsy leading the way… Jim Korth enjoys his stay as a patient at the ER/Scrubs table.

"Most Original TV Theme" went to Country Coach for The Addams Family, Pat Mason, Angel Biggar, Carol-Taylor Clay, Steve Clay, Karen Smith and Pete Zugelder. “How’s my heart doc?” Rick Dancer gets expert medical advice from Kelli Warner, KMTR-TV, at the ER/Scrubs table.
