Looking Glass Earns
Council On Accreditation Status

| Looking Glass Youth and Family Services has been accredited by the international Council On Accreditation for using best practices in behavioral health care, and for top-notch internal and financial management. Only seven behavioral health care organizations in the state hold the COA accreditation. Looking Glass is the only accredited nonprofit organization in Lane County that focuses on social services for teenagers. Looking Glass Chief Executive Officer, Craig Opperman, said the accreditation affirms the commitment of the entire staff of the Agency. “This was a massive effort by the staff and Board,” Opperman said. “This achievement reflects our commitment to providing the best possible treatment to those children, youth and families we serve.” Looking Glass serves nearly 7,000 clients per year, one of the largest non-profit providers of social services in Oregon. Clients reside throughout the state, the vast majority being within Lane County, primarily in the Springfield/Eugene area. The accreditation requires an in-depth examination of an agency's compliance with standards proven to produce the best quality of services to clients and also includes analysis of an agency's internal policies and financial management. |
