Special Projects

From time to time, we ask members of our community to help us with projects.  These projects are typically simple repairs, painting, landscaping, and general enhancements to our program sites.  This kind of help is so important for many reasons, not the least of which is allowing us to keep limited dollars focused on serving the kids.

There is also a wonderful positive message sent to the community and the teens.  When folks like you give time and energy to making sites like Station 7 and New Roads nicer and more welcoming, teenagers feel more at home. When the kids feel more comfortable, they can turn their attention to solving their greater problems and getting back on track.

When community members and neighbors around the program sites see others coming in and helping to improve the building and grounds, they feel reassured that Looking Glass is a community asset.  People learn more about the programs and notice that Looking Glass is a positive place that can help everyone, not just troubled teens.

You can help us create a win for the teens, a win for the community and a win for Looking Glass as a whole.
