New Roads school sees 1/3 of all unaccompanied homeless youth in the 4j School District

New Roads School provides an alternative educational program that meets the needs of runaway and homeless youth in Lane County, in a public/private partnership with the 4j School District. Our goal is to prepare youth for transition to another educational setting or employment and to provide students with resources and skills to reconnect them to their community. Services include:

  • Education: Classes for credit include middle and high school basics of language arts, math, sciences, and social studies. Students will also be offered GED preparation and tutoring.

  • Life Skills: Students will receive support with resumes, employment applications, forms, bills, and other real-world tasks.

  • Meals: Breakfast and lunch are provided to students.

  • Additional Services: Students may access health care, counseling, case management, and recreational activities, among other services.

Hours: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
