Center Point School Graduation 2020

To conclude what turned out to be an unforgettable academic year, Looking Glass’ Center Point School was able to hold an intimate, in-person gathering to celebrate and honor two long-time students in their high school graduation. Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, it was the first time staff and students gathered since mid-March when the school switched to distance learning in response to COVID-19.

In keeping with annual tradition, Center Point teachers and staff each spoke individually about the two graduates and allowed each of the families and ceremony guests to comment and congratulate the graduates during the ceremony.

The ceremony was able to maintain social distance, seating the family of each graduate together and spacing out staff behind the families.

The graduates started their academic journey with Center Point on the same day, five years prior. Heartfelt memories and words of encouragement were shared by staff. The graduates were affirmed in their strengths and in their growth. Though it was a small group of people present for the ceremony, the room was full of emotion.

Individuals from both families expressed pride for the graduates and immense gratitude for the dedicated Center Point staff, repeatedly acknowledging the school for providing the students with a positive, supportive educational experience for so many years.

Congratulations to the Graduates!
