3rd Annual Hike for Hope Event Raises $5,000

The 3rd annual Hike for Hope fundraiser event was a huge success, bringing in almost $5,000 for at-risk youth and Looking Glass programs. The Saturday, August 8th event was sponsored by Hearing Associates as well as Summit Bank, Oregon Community Credit Union and US Bank. Roughly 50 hikers joined together in socially distant fashion, with masks and hikers went up the Mt Pisgah trail in small groups.

Prior to the hike, Looking Glass staff members LaTasha Welch from New Roads and Jace Decker from the counseling program spoke to the group about their job experiences in working with youth going through crisis. It was a beautiful day for a hike and an inspiring turnout of support.

Special thanks also goes to our raffle prize donors including Back Country Gear and Jerry’s Home Improvement. Thanks also goes to Mt Pisgah and Lane County Parks staff for their assistance in pulling off this event.

Events like these provide crucial funding for Looking Glass and offer supporters a great way to give back while enjoying the great outdoors.
