Rural Program Hopes to Expand

The Looking Glass Rural Program, with current 500 square foot facility in Cottage Grove, hopes to expand services and capacity by nearly 400% when it moves into a new building down the street which is just under 2,000 square feet and has much higher visibility from the road as well. The Rural Program offers a drop-in center offers youth food, clothing, and other basic needs such as internet and job search materials

Purchased in 2019, the new facility is in need of major renovations before staff can move in and serve clients. Previously housing a print shop, the new facility is basically an empty shell at this point and needs new flooring, plumbing, showers and laundry installed, paint and furnishings. Adding to the challenge for this renovation, since the purchase of the building construction materials and labor costs have skyrocketed.

The need is great, but so is the potential for expanded services and offerings to at-risk youth and families in the South Lane County area.

Please join our effort to expand and renovate this new building by donating today! We are also excited to share that we have a wonderful local match donor challenge of a match for every $1 up to $5,000 by Mario & Jessica Cristobal through their Cristobal Family Foundation! Help us maximize this match challenge by making a donation and doubling your impact!!
