ODHS Director Presented Community Leadership Award at Looking Glass Annual Board Meeting

Oregon Department of Human Services Director, Fairborz Pakseresht (right) holds his Community Leadership award that he just received from Looking Glass President and CEO, Craig Opperman.

At the annual board meeting for Looking Glass Community Services, held this year at The Graduate Hotel on Wednesday, November 1st, CEO and President Craig Opperman presented the Looking Glass Community Leadership Award to Oregon Department of Human Services Director, Fariborz Pakseresht. This year’s annual board meeting included an update on the state of the agency, by Opperman, and was hosted by board member, Mary Reilly.

“Fariborz Pakseresht has provided innovative leadership to Oregon for over 20 years,” Opperman said. “He is a former director of Oregon Youth Authority and currently director of Oregon Department of  Human Services. Fariborz brings patience, grace and wisdom in leading services that improve the lives of vulnerable Oregonians.  He partners with providers like Looking Glass to save lives every day.”

As this was Craig’s last Annual Meeting before he retires next year, the Board recognized his many years of dedicated service and leadership of Looking Glass. He was presented with a plaque and some very poignant comments from longtime board member, Scott Williams, of Hamilton Construction.

Several longtime local supporters were in attendance as well as Looking Glass program leaders.
