Breakfast Fundraiser Event Puts Spotlight on Homeless Youth Services

The 2018 Looking Glass “Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures” breakfast fundraiser, held Wednesday, November 14th, was a huge success and inspired attendees as it focused almost exclusively on our Runaway & Homeless Youth program. The event, held at Venue 252 in Eugene, was the 6th annual breakfast gathering of this kind.

At this event we debuted a new success story video (above) from one of our former RHY clients, Dayla. She shared her story with us and allowed us to film her family as well, showcasing the happy ending that many of our clients are able to pursue.

We owe a special thank you to Mary Reilly, of Liz & Reilly 94.5FM radio, for being our Emcee and Keynote speaker at the event (as well as a table captain!). Mary shared her wonderful personal story with us and helped keep us on schedule for the event as well.

And we are thankful to Luke Jackson for offering his voice to motivate our supporters to give generously.

This event was underwritten by Hamilton Construction and also had support from Columbia Bank, Besemann/Valentine CPA’s and Oregon Pacific Bank. And a special thank you goes out to all of our event table captains for recruiting more Looking Glass supporters to join our efforts to support the hard work our staff does with youth in our area.
