SELCO Community Credit Union is providing new funding for Looking Glass to purchase items for youth clients to support them in moving into new apartments and also items to support new parents. The funding support will provide 10 new apartment kits and 10 new parent kits and will help youth clients from our Independent Living and Job Training Programs.

“These new apartment and new parent kits have shown to be a necessary means for these youth to start the next chapter in their lives,” said Riverfront Services Manager Brianna Vincent. “Our youth don’t always have the ability or funds to purchase everything needed for a new home or child, so being able to give them a start up kit means a lot to them and us. We want to see them thrive and live successful lives and this is just one of the small ways that Looking Glass and the community can support in that process.”

The new apartment kits contain items including towels, dishes, cleaning tools, cookware and more. The new parent kits include diapers, baby clothes, diaper bags, teething toys and more.

Looking Glass is thankful to SELCO for this donation and for being a great community partner!
