3rd Annual “Shoetember” Donation Drive was a Shoeper Success

New Roads Program Supervisor Rich Luis showing off one of the donation deliveries during Shoetember.

Looking Glass received a generous amount of support for the 3rd annual “Shoetember” donation drive! With the support of the community, our clients will receive a pep in their step across our programs. We received hundreds of pairs of shoes over the month-long drive.

One of the hundreds of pairs of shoes we received during this shoe drive was a super cool pair of Air Jordan’s!

Thank you to our outstanding partners, Burch’s Shoes and OnPoint Community Credit Union for their support in collecting donations throughout the month.

And thank you to all of the amazing individual donors who dropped off or shipped shoes to our offices.

“For unhoused youth in Lane County shoes are one of the most important safety items they can own, especially going into the rainy fall and winter months,” said Homeless Youth Services Director Ashley Kirkhart. “When folks are unhoused and spending such a significant amount of time outdoors shoes are worn down quickly, especially those that aren't waterproof.”
