This team of dedicated and caring individuals is on the front lines in our fight to end youth homelessness. November is National Runaway Prevention Month and Looking Glass is joining that effort to shine a light on the challenges that homeless youth face in our area.

Looking Glass Joins Out of the Darkness Event to Support Suicide Prevention
Looking Glass was honored to be invited to have a table and talk to participants in this year’s Out of the Darkness walk fundraiser benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention which took place on Sunday, September 30th at Alton Baker Park. Members of our Counseling Program staff were able to speak with participants and talk about the variety of resources Looking Glass offers including individual therapy and group therapy as well as our crisis line, all of which can help in difficult times.
In-Kind Support: Foresters Financial Provides Self Care Kits
A big thank you goes out to Foresters Financial whose local members organized to make a significant in-kind donation to Looking Glass’ Counseling Program of over 100 Self-Care Kits. Our therapists provide these supplies, which included some arts and crafts tools as well as hygiene materials, to our clients to help them relax and process the stress of their lives.

As part of Enhance the Community (ETC) Day NCU sends students, staff, and faculty to local nonprofits for an afternoon of volunteering.
